St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara

St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), a Catholic religious congregation, is our source of inspiration. The influence of his vision and dreams permeates through our activities today. St. Kuriakose, a pioneering educationalist and an unparalleled social reformer of the 19th century, foresaw the changes that would take place and wanted to build a society based on Fatherhood of God and Universal Humanity.

The CMI congregation, that this Karmayogi founded in 1831 at Mannanam near Kottayam, is the first among the indigenous congregations in India. He pioneered several initiatives to revolutionize the education sector of his times. He started Sanskrit schools and opened them up to everyone irrespective of their caste or creed. Dare to Dream:
Dare&Dream, two small words in English yet carry extensive meaning. Dare means the 'exceptional courage' to do the right thing with a vision. People become great as they dare to do something. Children, at a tender age, must be trained to be daring in their life. Cowards never reach anywhere. Only a daring person can do great things. Christ School encourages children in this noble cause. Dream, perhaps the propeller of life, leads one to new horizons. A dreaming person can find many new avenues, which can be explored only by a person who dares. Discoveries and inventions are due to someone's dreams and daring. The students gain experiential training in the art of dreaming and daring in their life. Hence, CHRIST is a school with a difference where dreams dare.
